Yellow poinciana

flowering tree. Normally low at 8 meters tall, with
wide-spreading branches that form an umbrella-like
crown up to 8 meters across. Suppose to be a native
of Sri Lanka, the Malay archipelago all the way to
northern Australia. Now it is found in more
countries. Growing in the wild on its own The plant
was introduced to many other countries and also
replanted as wild plants in Singapore. It got its
name as Tapah Weeds.
The tree being
coastal in origin, thrive well in arid soil also
meaning low maintenance is well adopted as shade
trees. Planted in rows, I would say used as street
