Lantana plants can be grown as perennials in zone 8 and higher. A resilient plants that thrive in hot weather. Bloom profusely Lantana cemera is an invasive species colonizes new areas. Its seeds are dispersed by birds. The flower comes from yet another creeping plant the lines Highways and fringes of the forest . Significant in pinks, orange and yellow 

The plant with woody stem can be a thin creeper that rises above 20 feet high above. In other instances the main stem can grow to a tree with a diameter of 5 inches.

The plant has been reported to make animals ill after ingestion and so are rejected by herbivores, Its berries are toxic before they become ripe, and can be poisonous to pets as well as livestock
