Local names:- Honolulu Creeper

 

 

This perennial vine can easily spread to 30-40 ft in length. It depends on lots of  tendrils to rapidly anchor itself and rise above other nearby object. The plant is a native of Mexico. It is a fast growing. Leaves are dark green heart-shaped to arrowhead-shaped to 5 inches long. The plant also produces edible tubers. The plants are hardy.

Lastly, the plant is a weed and classified as an invasive species. Coral vine as it is also called is used to cover fences or climb trellises. Helping owners with fresh green foliage and a vibrant splash of pink color. In modern living, where there are limitations in available soil and restricted amount of sunshine, the vine with its thick foliages are excellent curtain to noise pollution.  This plant are propagated from cuttings or by seed The vine's tuberous roots are said to be edible.
